Mr. Bagby is a retired local business owner and a current Floyd County Commissioner. He is a former two term Rome City Commissioner and former mayor of Rome. He is a member of the board of Floyd Healthcare Management Inc.
A graduate of Darlington School and Auburn University, Mr. Bagby currently represents the Board of Commissioners as Chair of the Floyd County Administrative Finance Committee as well as serving on the Floyd County Public Safety Committee, Rome-Floyd Joint Development Oversight Committee, Rome-Floyd Joint Services Committee, Floyd County Board of Health, Floyd County Work Release Committee and Floyd County Judicial Services Committee.
A life-long resident of Floyd County, he is past president of the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Georgia, a life deacon of First Baptist Church of Rome, a past chair of the Rome-Floyd Planning Commission and Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation Authority, former board member of South Rome Redevelopment Corporation and a founding member of the Community Foundation for Greater Rome.
Mr. Bagby was has been recognized with the Heart of the Community award as well as the Distinguished Citizen award by the Boy Scouts of Northwest Georgia.
